Les Latridiidae sont une famille de coléoptères minuscules et peu connus communément appelés minuscules scolytes bruns. Le nombre d'espèces décrites se situe actuellement autour de 1050 dans 29 genres mais le nombre d'espèces est sans doute beaucoup plus élevé.
